If not an Apple keyboard or a third party hub, what make and model. Any info I can give you or do I consider the bridge device too old?

Not in System Prefs, Audio Midi, et al. Audacity is 1. But from what I know, if the computer isn't seeing USB, neither will Audacity, so that problem probably isn't the biggest issue. Not getting it though. The USB ports are fine. I used both of them today for other devices. The machine is only a few years old, and it supports Snow Leopard, so it seems odd it wouldn't work with this. There's nothing of Yamaha involved, and I've done a search for yamaha on my computer and it comes up empty.

MXL doesn't require any drivers of its own. Or in any other computer? Have you tried the most common computer solution of all times: rebooting?
